2000 Olympic Team
The 2000 Olympics were held in Sydney Australia from 9/16-9/26/2000. Weightlifting consisted of 8 Weight classes for men 56kg, 62kg, 69kg, 77kg, 85kg, 94kg, 105kg and +105kg. This was the first Olympic Weightlifting Competition for women. The weight classes for women were 48kg, 53kg, 58kg, 63kg, 69kg, 75kg and +75kg. The competition for all weight classes were held on 9/16-9/26/2000 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. The coaches were Dragomir Cioroslan, Michael Cohen, Gayle Hatch and Mike Gattone. The Team Manager was Roger Sadecki.

Robin Byrd Goad
Robin competed in the first Women’s World Championships in 1987 at Daytona Beach Florida. Robin was the only competitor from the 1987 World’s to compete in the first women’s Olympic Weightlifting Competition. Robin is an Olympian, World Champion, World Record holder, Pan American Games Champion and a 10X Senior National Champion.

Shane Hamman
Shane started lifting as part of his high school football program. His strength increased rapidly and he became interested in powerlifting. He set several world records in powerlifting and was a 3X national champion and a 2X world championships medalist. In Olympic lifting Shane was a 2X Olympian, 3X world championships team member and a 9X senior national champion. Shane established several national records for the superheavyweight class.
