Buddy "Bud" Cawley Georgia Strength and Power HoF inductee 2025

Buddy “Bud” Cawley of Tifton, Georgia is a record-setting powerlifter recognized for his dominance in the bench press. Competing in the World Natural Powerlifting Federation, Cawley has earned multiple U.S. and world records, highlighted by a 700-pound bench press. He has set marks in nine different age and weight divisions, including the 300-lb class for lifters aged 45–49. Known for his commitment to drug-free lifting, Cawley competes exclusively in tested events. After returning to competition later in life, he quickly rose to elite status, inspiring athletes with his strength, discipline, and dedication to clean sport and lifelong performance. Cawley is a member of the WNPF Powerlifting Hall of Fame.
