Personal history:
My first powerlifting competition was in 1982. This was before raw, or even drug free lifting was organized. While I have lifted in a number of lifting federations, always drug free, my focus was on drug free competitions starting in the mid-1980s. When raw lifting took off, I was very happy to put the gear aside and focus on that. Since 2014, I have been the records keeper for 100% Raw, more recently the rules chair, NJ state chair, and developer of the K-formula for best lifter.
What led you to your sport:
I have always been strength-oriented, and I like the way that it is reflected in powerlifting. I really like the camaraderie in the sport, and that, in its essence, it is you against the bar
State, National and World records.
Since the start of my lifting career in 1982, I have set numerous state, national and world records in weight classes ranging from 148 lbs to 242 lbs.
Accomplishments.
Coach to my daughter and son. My daughter, Naomi Kutin (recently Naomi Green) set some incredible mark as a youth lifter, including setting the all-federation woman's world squat record at age 9 (a feat unlikely to ever be repeated). Developer of the K-formula, which used data from totals, as well as each of squat, bench, dead lift and strict curl to give good unbiased results for best lifter for both male and female.
Activities within the sport
demonstrations, community activities etc.
World-level judge NJ state Chairman Run contests in northern NJ, that have particularly attracted young lifters
