A brief personal history:
'' I became a master lifter in 2006 at Coffee's Gym Marietta, Ga. I was a senior lifter from Puerto Rico in the 70s and 80s. I was national champion for five years in Puerto Rico and on the PR national team for seven years. I was college champion three times, too. In 1981 I moved to the USA for a better life. In New Orleans I played golf for 25 years. After hurricane Katrina I moved to Marietta, Ga. It was winter time and too cold to play golf. So, I joined a bodybuilding gym. Over there I find out about Coffee's Gym. I went to see the gym and I met John Coffee, RIP. He told me about the master program. After a few months of training. I was ready to compete. The rest is history. I became one of the best USAW master lifters. A few years I became one of the best master lifters of the world.
What led you to your sport:
In HS I wanted to be a high jumper. The coach send me to the gym to get my legs stronger. After watching Olympic weightlifting I was hook for life. After touching the bar for the first time in 1967. I wanted to be an Olympic lifter. I wanted to be National Champion of Puerto Rico. I never did high jumping again in my life.

USAW Masters National champion 8 times.
PAN-AM Masters champion 6 times.
American Masters champion 6 times.
Masters World Cup champion 2 times.
World Masters champion in 2018, Barcelona, Spain.
World masters silver medal in 2019, Montreal, Canada.
World masters bronze medal in 2017, New Zeland.
16 Ga. State local meets.
14 Best Lifters awards.
Winner of two Grandmasters awards at the American Masters.

16 USAW National records.
11 American Masters records.
32 Georgia State records.
1 Pan-Am snatch record.
1 Masters Games snatch record.
Other accomplishments:
'Inducted into the USAW Hall of fame. Class of 2023.
Activities within the sport:
demonstrations, community actvities etc.
'Assistant coach at Coffee's Gym. Also coached students to compete at the Ga. State meets, National Masters and Pan-Am Masters. I was a Referee at Ga. States meets, too..
