By Strength and Power Hall of Fame

A brief personal history:
I played high school football and baseball. Graduated and went to the University of Tennessee to play football, where I walked on. Learned from Johnny Long, our assistant head strength coach, who eventually became the head strength coach at the Olympic lifts. I was on two sec championship teams, the 1997-1998 and the 1998 National Championship Team. After graduation, I was a strength and conditioning coach for the University of Tennessee Men's Athletics from 2001-2004. I eventually got back into training in 2013 when I completed my Crossfit Level 1 Training course in 2013 and opened a gym from 2013 to 2020. During that time, we had several high school athletes who went on to play division 1-2-3 sports. A national champion powerlifter and multiple Special Olympic Powerlifting Athletes through the Power Partner Competitions. During that time, I found my love for Olympic Lifting.
