Bob started lifting about 1918 when he joined the Arcade Athletic Club in Hagerstown Md. This team was the best lifting team in Maryland at the time and one of the best in the nation. Later Bob lifted for the Fairchild Weightlifting Team. Bob competed from about 1920 to sometime in the 1940s. Bob is a 7X Senior National Champion. I strongly suspect Bob held all the national records in the 118lb class in the 1920s. Bob was State and regional champion many times during his career.
