A brief personal history:
I am a 66-year-old 228 lb. competitive powerlifter. I have been married to my wife for 42 years. we have two married children and two grandchildren. I am a retired educator who worked as a public school teacher, coach, counselor, and principal in Toms River NJ. I completed my career as a full-time college administrator at Middlesex County College in Perth Amboy NJ. I also enjoy golf and training for participation in the 100 and 50-meter dashes in the New Jersey Senior Olympics.

 

What lead you to your sport:
My interest in lifting began when I was 15 years old. 
Part of my coaching career (1985-1992) was spent as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Toms River South High School.
When I was nearing retirement from work, I was fortunate enough to train with some competitive powerlifters who encouraged me to join them in competition.
In 2011 I entered my first meet and I haven't looked back. I have competed in the IPA, RPS. WNPF and USPA.
