A brief personal history: 
Ron has competed in approximately 70 + bench press competitions over many decades with almost all first-place finishes for his body weight and age group except for a few second-place finishes and one third-place finish. 

What led you to your sport?
Growing up in Carteret, New Jersey anyone who was anybody lifted weights to be strong. I was very fortunate to train with and learn from my brother Fred and powerlifting icons Henri Skiba, Joe Caliguari and Kenny Toth.

 Achievements in your sport:
 Ron has won numerous State, National, and World titles in two different weight class divisions over multiple decades. He has also won numerous Best Lifter Awards, most notably at the 2016 WNPF World Championships.

 State, National, and World records:
 World Natural Powerlifting Federation Historical Bench Press Records:

  •  New Jersey State 220 lb. weight class, 45 - 49 age Open Division 475 lbs. 
  •  New Jersey State 220 lb. weight class 50 - 54 age RAW Division 385 lbs.

 World Natural Powerlifting Federation Current Bench Press Records:    

  •   NJ State, National, and World Bench Press records 198 lb. weight class, 55 - 59 age RAW division 375 lbs. 
  •   NJ State and National Record Bench Press Body Weight for 23 Repetitions. 
  •   NJ State Bench Press record 220lb. weight class 55 - 59 age Raw Division 365 lbs. 
  •   NJ State Bench Press record 220lb. weight class 60 - 64 age Raw Division 340 lbs.    

Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Current Bench Press Records:

  •  NJ State and World records 220lb. weight class 60 - 64 age Raw Division 363.76 lbs.

​​Other accomplishments:
Ron is also a very proud Hall of Fame member of the World Natural Powerlifting Federation. 

Other activities:
At the 2004 Society for Foodservice National Convention, Ron coordinated a bench press exhibition at the Baltimore Ravens stadium for the attendees to donate to charity. He benched pressed 460 lbs., and solely raised $12,000 for the Baltimore and Maryland Food Banks. Ron also competed in an invitation-only Bench Press exhibition for New Jersey Special Olympics helping to raise $3,000 for the Charity. 
 

Ron also volunteers his time when asked to judge Powerlifting Competitions for the World Natural Powerlifting Federation, Skiba's Gym in Carteret, New Jersey, and Pump Fitness in Monroe, New Jersey.
