BIO
Bill began lifting in the 1920s along with his brothers Harry and Walter. Bill lifted for York Oil Burner and later York Barbell. Bill was the first American to Clean and Jerk 350lbs. Bill continued to train after retiring from competition and was still training when he was 90 years old.
