Chester “Chet” Spittle

 

BIO

 

Originally from Alexandria Virginia Chet started training at Waple Studio of Physical Culture on King Street in the late 1940’s.  The owner was Harry Edward Waple a well know lifter and bodybuilder of the 1930’s and 40’s. Chet would also train at the Washington DC YMCA. After his military service Chet played football for the University of Maryland. Chet was on the cover of the May 1954 issue of Strength and Health magazine.
