BIO

 

Art started lifting about 1918 well before official contests were held and records were kept. Art lifted in the 5 and 3 lift eras and was known as an all-around strongman during his time. Art was one of the strongest men in the world during his era for his weight.  Art was on the cover of the March 1934 Strength and Health Magazine.
