A brief personal history:
Born in 1942 in Lebanon,Pa. Worked for Bayer Corporation for 44 years, retiring in 2008. Married in 1964. Have 1 son and 3 grandchildren. Started lifting in 1957 to build myself up for high school football.

What lead you to your sport:
I live about 45 miles from York Barbell. I would go there and watch some of the top lifters in the country train. That gave me the incentive to train for Olympic lifting. In 1989 John Vernacchio got me interested in the United States All-round Weightlifting Association. That has been my main focus ever since.
