Colon lived in Chesapeake Va. and retired from NASA Langley Research Center. Colon was a graduate of Old Dominion University.
There was no master’s program during Colon’s era. Colon lifted for Colonna’s gym.
Colon assisted Bill Colonna and Bob Crist at contests for 30 years. Colon would load, help with set up and tear down, judge, weigh in and other duties as needed. He also coached and assisted lifters throughout his career and for many years after
